Walking Street is Ground Zero for nightlife in Pattaya, so if you are visiting for the first time you will definitely want to go there at least once. It has a unique vibe and atmosphere, and is packed with people and activity.
Almost all the clubs on Walking Street open at 8 PM, so the street comes alive at that time and all the neon signs are turned on. The partying continues until three or 4 AM at which time the crowds move on to the many disco clubs which stay open all night.
It is easy to find, even for those who are unfamiliar with Pattaya. The entrance to Walking Street is at the corner of Beach Road and Pattaya Thai. Just go south on Beach Road until you come directly to the arch which is the entrance to Walking Street.
You can’t miss it because there is a huge 20 foot, I would estimate, LCD screen mounted on top of the arch and the name of the street is prominently displayed across the top of the archway. There are pictures of Walking Street and the entrance to the road in the image gallery that is linked to on this webpage.
Everybody in Pattaya knows were Walking Street is so if you get lost, just ask. Any motorbike taxi driver can take you directly there for a few baht, and the Tuk Tuk buses drive directly down Beach Road to the entrance to walking Street.
