I enjoy a good all-you-can-eat buffet, especially in Pattaya because the values at these types of restaurants are so good here, and there are so many quality buffet restaurants in the area. For as little as 100 baht, you can find a decent quality all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, and for 200 to 300 baht you can get an excellent dinner buffet, as well.
If you are unfamiliar with Pattaya, I would recommend that you check out Central Festival Mall, which is directly on the beach just south of Central Pattaya Road and next to the Pattaya police station on Soi Nine. It is probably the most upscale retail facility in Pattaya, and there are, I would guess, between 10 and 20 excellent quality all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants in that mall alone. Having that many buffets to choose from in one location makes it very convenient in that you can window shop from one restaurant to the other very easily before making your decision.
The personally recommend the all-you-can-eat Japanese sushi buffet in that mall. It is complete with conveyor belts that conveniently bring a continuous supply of new food directly to your seat. The price is currently 330 baht per person, and if you enjoy good sushi as much as I do, then you will thoroughly enjoy it. There is also an all-you-can-eat steak buffet that is a very good quality, as well. Most of the restaurants in Central Festival are on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors, and you may use the directories posted at the entrances as a guide.
Away from the mall, one of my personal favorites for dinner is the Bella Hotel all-you-can-eat buffet on Central Pattaya Road between Second road and Soi Buakhow. The regular price is 250 baht, but during the off-season there is an early bird special between 6 and 7 PM for 200 baht. I have been eating at this buffet at least once or twice a week because it is such a great value and there is a wide variety of good food. They even have an espresso machine now, which is quite a treat for me over here in Thailand. There is also a good choice of cakes and desserts, which most buffets in Pattaya do not have.
For breakfast buffet, one of the best values that you will find in Pattaya is the Diana Dragon Hotel buffet on Soi Diana. The cost is a low 125 baht and the quality of food is reasonable although not superb. I can imagine that many of you connoisseurs out there will probably complain to me about the quality of this buffet, but it is good enough for me. I actually ate there this morning for breakfast so this review is quite fresh :-).
Another popular all-you-can-eat buffet in Pattaya is at Hotel Lek on second road. The dinner buffet there is around 200 baht and the food quality is reasonable, although I do not think it is as good as the Hotel Bella so I do not eat there very often. But it is nevertheless very popular with many of the ex-pats here in the city.
There are literally hundreds of all-you-can-eat buffets here in Pattaya, so you will have no trouble finding one. Ignoring my suggestions, you can simply drive your motorbike down any of the main thoroughfares and you will see buffets advertised at restaurants along the way.
