Which Brand of Cheap 5 Gallon Water Jugs is Best?

There are tons of different brands of 5 gallon water jugs out there to choose from. I use and recommend the Blue Wave 5 gallon bottles, however, because they are cheap, durable, and safe.  They’re made with BPA free bicarbonate plastic and the bottles have an opaque blue tint which keeps algae and bacteria promoting sunlight away from the drinking water.

Whichever water bottle you choose, if you are going to go with plastic instead of glass bottles you just need to make sure it is BPA free. BPA is a chemical used in the manufacturing process of some bottles in order to harden the plastic, but it is a dangerous carcinogen that can leach into your drinking water. Thankfully, most companies have phased it out of the manufacturing process.
